Class Descriptions

Our goal is for all students to feel welcome in any of our classes, regardless of experience. We take an all-levels approach to yoga. Our instructors are well trained in their ability to offer modifications to make the practice more accessible or to suggest ways to challenge you. We know that when you move better and breathe better you will feel and live better in your body. We can’t wait to meet you! Welcome to breatheYOGA.

 

New to yoga?

Try our gentle class offered various times through the week

flow

flow is a true all levels yoga class. You can expect a variety of postures, warming flows, standing poses and twists, all connecting breath with movement. Modifications to sweeten or spice up your practice will always be offered. Class concludes with a relaxing, mindful meditation

restore

restore classes are specifically designed to help you achieve a state of total meditative relaxation. This style of yoga involves long, passive holds in a series of 3-6 restful poses. Expect to be supported by props to enhance and deepen your meditative experience. This class is for anyone needing to restfully restore, recover from injury, or just relax and be still. All levels welcome.

 

gentle

gentle classes are designed to emphasize gentle stretching and relaxation while creating breath awareness, enhancing balance, and increasing flexibility. gentle classes conclude with a relaxing meditation. Suitable for all levels, and a great class for beginners and expectant mothers.

heated

heated classes offer a variety of postures, warming flows, intentional holds, standing poses and twists, all connecting breath with movement, practiced in a gently heated environment of approximately 80-85 degrees. Our classroom is equipped with Heating Green Infrared heaters. Modifications & props available. All levels welcome.

roll

roll classes are designed to help you improve mobility, prevent injuries and ease pain while increasing flexibility and speeding up muscle recovery. These classes utilize Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls and provide you with simple and effective self-myofascial release techniques. Consider this class self-care 101. A great class for athletes, runners, cyclists, Cross Fitters, boot-campers, desk dwellers, tight and tired people or anyone who just wants to move better, breathe better and perform better. All levels welcome, no yoga experience necessary.

 

sunrise

sunrise is a true all levels yoga class. You can expect a variety of postures, warming flows, standing poses and twists, all connecting breath with movement. Modifications to sweeten or spice up your practice will always be offered. Class concludes with a relaxing, mindful meditation

 

core

core is a strength-based yoga class that include postures, breath and a variety of dynamic movements to access your deep core muscles. Postures and sequencing will be geared toward strengthening and stabilizing the abdominals and glutes. Expect a fun, energetic class designed to challenge your mind and body. The only real requirement for this class is a sense of humor. Suitable for all levels.

BURN/BUILD

BURN/BUILD classes incorporate strength-based exercises to mindfully strengthen your body, providing a balance to your current movement practice. BURN classes begin with an intentional warm-up followed by intervals to increase cardiovascular fitness and build totally body strength and endurance. BUILD classes include functional training designed to build strength, while improving balance, coordination and bone density. Through mindful movement and a focus on proper technique, this class will challenge you to be your best and strongest self.
